Rolldown is a roguelike puzzle game that was created for the GMTK Game Jam 2022. The game is played in floors and each floor gets exceedingly more difficult while also giving the player items to aid them.

Review:
Art and Sound Style: Rolldown has a simplistic pixel art style that makes for a readable and visually-pleasing experience. The screen is also split into two parts, the UI, and the game itself. This format creates a clean game area that isn't overcrowded with UI, as well as a clear UI that is very easy to read. The music and sounds are also very simple and concise but are satisfying, balanced well, and avoid coming off as overbearing
Length and Replay-ability (and potential length): Rolldown is a procedurally generated roguelike so each playthrough is different and continues with increasing difficulty until the player fails. This gives the player incentive to play again on a new fresh run each time and strive to get to a higher level floor.
Difficulty: Rolldown starts out each run on an easy tutorial level that allows the player to try out the mechanics of the game but not feel restrained. The game then escalates in difficulty each floor and occasionally has loot floors to allow the player to rest before moving onto harder floors. The difficulty can occasionally seem to fall off from one level to another due to the procedural generation but overall offers a steady climb that has a comfortable but challenging pace.
Overall Gameplay and Final Score: Rolldown is a unique gameplay experience that changes from playthrough to playthrough. With an satisfying art and style direction, endless replay-ability, and steady difficulty production: Rolldown offers a rewarding and enjoyable gameplay experience. It also has to be noted that this game was made in a mere 48 hours, displaying the skill and craftsmanship of the developers. For players who love a quick and fun in-browser gaming experience, rolldown is a must-play.
